"Zotero experienced an error updating your document"...

Any ideas to help me out? I've reinstalled Zotero and the plugin for Mac. It is a brand new document and I was trying to insert my first citation and the error came up. There is no error code or anything and I couldn't seem to find anything on the forum... any suggestions? Im running MacOS Mojave 10.14.5

    What word processor and exact version? Can you provide a Report ID from Zotero after this occurs?

    It actually seems to be working now... but I am running MS Word 16.26
    I think it felt threatened when I started searching for a replacement and decided to work again.
