Updating citations

The Zotero doesn't update when the footnotes are set to re-number every chapter or every page. However, it works well when the footnotes are continuous. But it is slow. I am working on a document that has more than 200 pages and 400 footnotes. Is there a way to make it work faster with chapter-wise footnotes?

Though, in general, with a document this long, I recommend you separate your work into a different document for each individual chapter. That will be much faster, and it is not a problem in your case because you want your footnotes to restart with each chapter.
