Need to add " day and month" to journal entry

A recent convert from Mendeley, I found using Zotero more exciting. My issue is while citing from a journal, I cannot add day and month that is sometimes necessary. Is there a way to do it?

Adding the date in Zotero just means entering the whole date into the date field, e.g. 2019-06-29 or June 29, 2019.

If that doesn't show up, that'd be a question of the citation style (but would have been the same in Mendeley).
