Crash when inserting first author with accents (Windows7 + Word2016 + Zotero Plugin)

Hello,

Zotero plugin is crashing when inserting citation whose first author has an accent.
Example, when inserting the citation (Abellán et al. 2015), zotero gives the error:
"Zotero experience an error updating your document"

I use Word2016 (16.0.4849.1000 32 bits) + Windows 7 SP1
PS-this problem does not appear with LibreOffice Writer.

Any idea ?
(I am currently trying office 365 to see if that works better)

Please, if you ever need to share a debug log with Zotero, submit it via the client and only post the Debug ID.

For some reason you have a Firefox version of Word plugin installed in Zotero Standalone. Go into Tools -> Add-ins and remove the Word plugin, then restart Zotero.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your answer. Here is what I did.
- Removed the word plugin in zotero and restarted zotero (as suggested)
- Reinstalled the plugin into word (from zotero preferences)
- Uninstalled and reinstalled zotero

But the problem still remained between each step.

Is this happening in a completely new document?

Yes, it crashes also in a new document.

When creating a brand new windows user account, using the same zotero library folder, everything works fine... It's not very handy, but at least I can work that way for now.
