LibreOffice Extension Will Not Install
Before I go into all of the details, let me first ask whether the extension is supposed to be working right.
I'm using:
Zotero 5.0.66
LibreOffice 6.2.4.2
macOS 10.12.6
The LibreOffice extensions page has Zotero listed, but says, "No stable release available yet."
So, before I go into all the details of the problem, is the Zotero extension for LibreOffice supposed to working right now?
Thanks

I go through the installation process via Zotero. It asks me for the location of the "unopkg" executable and I use the "Select Directory" button to provide it. The correct path to unopkg appears.
Zotero then attempts to install it. After several seconds, the following message appears:
"Installation could not be completed because an error occurred. Please ensure LibreOffice is closed, and then restart Zotero."
LibreOffice had been closed so that was not the problem. The full message tells me to click the Manual Installation button. I do.
It reveals the .oxt file in the Finder and I double click on it. It opens LibreOffice and attempts to install the extension but locks up.
When it opened LibreOffice, the following message was displayed:
"LibreOffice requires Oracle's Java Development Kit."
I open the Java system prefpane and it says:
"Your system has the recommended version of Java: Java 8 Update 131"
I then open LibreOffice and check the extensions manager. The Zotero extension is listed but grayed out. The message beneath it says:
"Error: The status of this extension is unknown."
So I try to install it using the LibreOffice extensions manager. It throws an error saying:
"Could not create Java implementation loader."
It seems like it may be a Java problem, but the Java prefpane says I have the correct version for my machine (MacBook Pro late-2013 running macOS 10.12.6).
Any ideas about what's going on and how I can fix it?
Thank you
JDK and JRE are two different things. Typically you'll install the latter for Java, but in this case you'll need the former.
The Zotero toolbar in LibreOffice only displays text, like "Add/Edit Citation", etc. Is there any way to have it display in icon only mode?
Thank you

If anyone wants to preserve the templates, you could try removing C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\extensions, it works for me!(zotero 5.0.59; Win10; LibreOffice6.1.5.2) »
