Wrong way of autosaving authors names
Hello,
Zotero Mac saves authors names that were previously entered. However, it saves both first name and surname as one long first name. So, when you want to enter Obama, and then Barack, it suggests "Obama, Barack" as a surname. Since it looks like perfect, you accept it, but then the space for first name remains empty, and you end up with a problem when you would need first name before surname.
So, is there any way to a) clean the cache, so that Zotero forgets all those wrongly saved names, and b) can we have autosaving smarter, so that each part of name is is placed in relevant field only,
Thanks!

dstillmanedited June 8, 2019There's no cache. It's autocompleting based on existing entries in your database. You'll need to fix those to fix the suggestions.

fbennett@shairbek: Just in case it might cause confusion, names set on items in trash will also affect the completion lists.
