It’s possible to use Zotero with Google Drive using the Zotfile plugin (see the “Alternative” section at the bottom of this page https://www.zotero.org/support/sync).
However doing so has a few limitations (1) takes more setup and manual management than using Zotero storage or a WebDAV provider (2) relies on Google’s sync program, rather than only Zotero (3) if you delete a file from your Zotero library, the file will remain in the google drive folder rather than being deleted as well (4) linked files can’t be used in Groups (only Zotero storage is supported in groups) (5) you can’t access the file from the zotero.org web library view
