Upgrade StorageURLs in imported from Endnote XML are imported as attached links

When importing from EndnoteXML files, I note that the URL field in the Endnote XML (which is part of the citation) is not being imported to the Zotero URL field (for citations), but rather as an attached link object. Why is this? If it will be helpful I can upload a sample file to a gist and link it.
Also is there a way to import these URLs to the Zotero field?
Aside:: the URL in the attached link is not selectable, is this by design or by omission?

Another tip in importing from Endnote is that Zotero doesn't have an equivalent category to 'Electronic Article' so best to change these to something like 'Magazine Article' before export.
