Zotero fields cannot be inserted here

I am trying to place a citation in MS Word and receive an error saying Zotero fields cannot be inserted here.

Help?

    Where exactly are you trying to insert a citation? In a text box, footnote, table?

    Multiple:
    a) - was in a table that was in a "sidebar"
    a1) even tried to put it in my heading of the sidebar.
    b) was in a caption
    c) was in a textbox.

    You can’t insert Word Fields (which Zotero uses to store the citation data) in text boxes (I assume that is what you mean by sidebar).
