recent problems with dav.box.com

Hi folks, I have had sync setup with zotero for months and months with dav.box.com .
This morning I had problems syncing with both my laptop and desktop. From preferences "Verify Server" returns:

You don't have permission to access /dav/zotero/zotero-test-file.prop on the WebDAV server.

Please check your file sync settings or contact your WebDAV server administrator.


And trying a sync returns something like:

Your WebDAV server returned a HTTP 403 error for a PUT Request ....

I am able to login into www.box.com as usual, so that much is working.

Anyone else having similar problems today?

(note that box.com webDAV is being discontinued -- they'll shut it off in October: https://community.box.com/t5/Upload-and-Download-Files-and/WebDAV-with-Box/ta-p/310 )

403 is an authentication issue, though, so double-check your password? Maybe you changed it?

I can login to www.box.com with the password with no issues.

Anyone know of any other 5-10 GB free webdav servers?

Hi folks, thanks for the pointers. I set up 4shared but when I did a new sync, by pressing on the curved arrow, I thought it would do a complete back up of all the pdfs but it only upload the new pdfs today. Is there a way to force a complete upload of the pdfs?

Click the Reset File Sync History (not the other reset buttons) to force Zotero to recheck all of the files https://www.zotero.org/support/preferences/sync

Thanks for the advice, I have now switched to 4shared.com and all is well. It looks several others have reported problems with box.com.
