Upgrade StorageRetrieve metadata from pdf not working (Report 641825093)
I have a new computer
When I paste a pdf file in the zotero library and ask to retrieve the metadata, Zotero try for around a minute but fail without indicating a specific error code.
Every other Zotero functions works just fine.

It's possible that your Zotero can't connect to the network at all, which would cause various problems, including PDF retrieval and auto-update failures.
