CMOS - Time stamp on A/V files
Good Morning,
My Thesis Advisor wants time-stamps for any quotes from Audio Visual resources how would I enter these?

-
adamsmithI'd add them as suffix to the citation.
-
psycoperlWhen adding them as a suffix, how should I enter it just put the time (i.e. 0:08:12)?
-
adamsmithI think so yes. I don't think Chicago Manual has something on this, but APA just cites the timestamp -- the colons should make it sufficiently recognizable as such.
-
psycoperl@adamsmith I agree, I could not find anything in CMOS I have the physical 16th ed and digital access to 16th and 17th Eds, it was quiet on the subject. The only time I saw anything for time stamps was listed to social media.
-
adamsmithHere's the APA Blog on the topic. I think this is broady reasonable: https://blog.apastyle.org/apastyle/2014/01/timestamps-for-audiovisual-materials-in-apa-style.html
