missing files in zotero library

Hi,

Unexpectedly some files of my zotero library disappeared. It is the second time that happens to me.

Do you have any idea why I found this issue?

    You'd have to say more. Generally, though, this just means you're looking at a different computer from the one where you created the items and your computers aren't fully in sync.

    I'm not using any sync option. I work always in the same computer. Library files are saved in zotero/storage.

    What exactly disappeared and from where? Do you mean files (i.e. attachments) or Zotero items (i.e. the entry in Zotero)? Have you looked in the Zotero trash? Searched in "My Library"?

    Also, where is the Zotero database located - on a network drive or a local disk?

    document file still exist in the zotero/storage directory but the entry in the zotero library disappeared.

    Zotero database is located at the computer local disk.

    No, adamsmith means the name of a folder in 'storage' — an eight-character string like "ABCD2345".
