Export Zotero&Zotfile preference.

I have the same question with the following discussion(which was made ~4 years ago):

i.e. I would like to export Zotero(&Zotfile) preference of one computer and import it in another one.

I tried copying prefs.js file and substitute the same file in the new computer with it, although the file directory has been changed from 4 years ago... but this didn't work.

Has something changed from 4 years ago? How can I apply(or even sync) my standard preference/settings throughout my whole devices?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\defaults\preferences

That's the application directory — you don't ever want to touch that.

The answer hasn't changed — you need to copy prefs.js from one Zotero profile directory to the other.

Oh wait, I've been looking inside C:\Users\user\AppData\"Local"\Zotero\Zotero\Profiles\<>
instead of
C:\Users\user\AppData\"Roaming"\Zotero\Zotero\Profiles\<>

That's why I couldn't find the prefs.js file...My bad.
I'll try again. Thank you.

If you modified prefs.js in the program files, you should reinstall Zotero.

In fact I did and I'm reinstalling now..
