Looking for keywords (tags) in pdf documents without opening them

Hi all!

I know I can associate tags with each entry but is it also possible to look for words inside pdf documents without opening them? Like searching through all pdfs inside a collection?

Sure, just change the search mode to Everything.

Click the drop down menu on the left side of the search bar in the upper left corner of Zotero and change it to “Everything”. This will search all of the tags and fields for the items, as well as the full text of PDFs that Zotero has indexed.
