Bibliography not alphabetizing per style

Microsoft Office 365 subscription Word version 1902

Style I am trying to use that is supposed to alphabetize references: Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise or National Library of Medicine (either one will work for me and both alphabetize)

Bibliography just stays in the order cited instead of alphabetizing

    Both NLM and Med Sci Sport Exerc use a _numbered_ style. Items in the bibliography appear in the order cited.

    If you want a style that alphabetizes the bibliography by author name you will need to use a different style.

    You will need to better describe your requirements before someone can help you with suggestions.
