Style Error: [Acta Universitatis agriculturae Sueciae]
Hello,
Could you please help me?
The CSL Acta Universitatis agriculturae Sueciae should follow the description for Books on https://www.slu.se/en/subweb/library/write-and-cite2/writing-references/referencelist-according-to-the-harvard-system/ but right now the CSL style include ISBN, which it shouldn't.
References for books contain the following information according to the website:
Example:
McDowell, L.R. (2000). Vitamins in animal and human nutrition. 2. ed. Ames: Iowa State University Press.
But the CSL generate references like this:
McDowell, L. R. (2000). Vitamins in animal and human nutrition. Ames: Iowa State University Press. ISBN 978-0-8138-2630-1.
Could you please help me?

Do people write only in English or also in Swedish with this style? Currently it's set to swedish, but the guidelines are in English.
I have no previous experience of Zotero and editing citation style languanges, so I didn't totally understand your instructions :) Do I need to do something in order to make the updated SCL available at https://www.zotero.org/styles?
1. As damnation describes, right-click on the link and save as... to your harddisk.
2. Double-click the downloaded file to install it in Zotero and "OK" the confirmation pop-up
3. Then test the new style, see if that works better
We'll likely tweak the style to make it available in both English and Swedish
Since we will edit the guidelines soon, you don't have to edit more things right now - to avoid doing the same thing all over soon again. We might revice the guidelines to look more like the existing SCL.
I won't put more work into it now since you'll be updating the guidelines, but once you're done with those, please come back here and let us know the changes you've made, so we can adapt the style as necessary.

here are some changes that we would like to get your help with, they are following the instructions on https://www.slu.se/site/bibliotek/skriva-och-referera/skriva-referenser/referenslista-enligt-harvard/ and https://www.slu.se/en/subweb/library/write-and-cite2/writing-references/referencelist-according-to-the-harvard-system/:
General question: is it possible to add more fields e.g. DOI for books?
• Reference in text: No comma between Name and year.
General changes in swedish:
• DOI is to be preferred before URL, and when used no Access date is to be added.
• URL to be preceded by ”Tillgänglig: ”
• If URL: Accessed date is to be placed within square brackets, remove ”Accessed” before.
General changes in english:
• Value in field DOI is to be preferred, and when used no Access date is to be added.
• URL to be preceded by ”Available at:”
• If URL: Accessed date is to be placed within square brackets, remove ”Accessed” before.
• Editor: (ed.)
• Editors: (eds)
In referencelist:
Artwork:
• Value for field Medium should show in square brackets after title e.g. [photo] .
Blogpost:
• Value for Year to be placed immediately after author
• Value for Blog title in italic, without parenthesis
• [Blogg]/[Blog] located after Blog title
Report:
• Replace ; with , between Series title and Report number
• Information in fields URL and Accessed are to be added.
Question: Is it possible to change field name institution to Publisher in zotero?
Thesis:
• is it possible to get another value than Diss? Somtimes the thesis is a licentiate dissertation, or master's thesis or bachelor thesis. It could be added in the field type?
• Is it possible to get a new field for DOI/handle/URN?
Webpages:
• Value for Titel should be placed after Year, not before.
Hi,
I had a very quick go at the style, as I'm very limited on time for CSL these days.
Please test this out and then let me know what needs changing.
Thesis: I changed that to use the field genre, so whatever is in there now, will be shown.
Generally, the style needs a good bit of polishing, so it'll take some more time.

I can not check out the english version, I would like it to be a polyglot again so I can check it out. This is what I would like to be changed in the swedish version.
Reference in text:
- No comma between Name and year. e.g. (Andersson 2019).
In reference list:
- No punktuation mark after [date]
Reports:
- Add a punktuation mark after title.
- URL and date not in italic
- Replace ; with , between Series title and Report number
Artwork
- Value in field Medium should show in square brackets after title, e.g.[photo]
Blog post
- add a space after author, before year
- Value for Blog title in italic, without parenthesis
- [Blogg]/[Blog] located after Blog title OR (if that is not possible) value from field website type added after Blog titel in square brackets.
Web page
- add a space before year e.g. Andersson, A. (2019)
Journals
-I think the value in the DOI file is shown if it is only numeric - I would like it to be shown otherwise as well.
Kind regards
Malin Persson SLU University Library
1. comma between author and date: fixed
2. dot after "(2011).": That´s not what I see in the guidelines. Example: McDowell, L.R. (2000). Vitamins in animal and human nutrition. 2. ed. Ames: Iowa State University Press.
3. report, dot after title: added.
4. changed to ,
5. not seeing what you are.
6. artwork: what item type is this in Zotero?
7. added space
8. title for blogs in italics: done
9. that should work now. It's adding the csl field genre now.
10. fixed with 7
11. CSL/zotero doesn´t disambiguate here and just spits out what is in that field.

- I meant the dot after the access date, that is in square brackets at the end of the references if there is an URL in it.
5. not seeing what you are. - If the report has a value in URL it is displayed in italic alongside with the "tillgänglig:" and the access date, in my references.
6. Artwork is an item type in my zotero, do you not have it?
8. Sorry, I meant the Blog title is to be in italic, and not within parenthesis. The value for the Post title (Title in zotero) is to be not in italic, see https://www.slu.se/en/subweb/library/write-and-cite2/writing-references/referencelist-according-to-the-harvard-system/#Blogposts
9. I would like the genre value to be shown without parenthesis.
Thank you so much for all the work your putting into this - it's very much appreciated and valuable for us and our students and researchers!
5. Can you just post current vs wanted output. Easier that way.
6. added that in. Can you test. Might need to use a different variable.
8. Blog: changed. Please check.
9. [Blog]: Example from the guidelines. There is clearly parentheses there: Olsson, A. (2011). Hög avkastning är lika med bra djurvälfärd, eller hur? Forskarbloggen. [Blog]. April 18. Available at: http://blogg.slu.se/forskarbloggen/?p=8 [2012-05-15]

5. I havn't figured out how to show italic letters here, so I show it with a tag:
Today the report looks like this:
Andersson, A.B. (2019). Report title. (Rapportserie, 1). Uppsala:SLU Tillgänglig: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/332591 [2019-04-12].
I want it to look like this:
Andersson, A.B. (2019). Report title. (Rapportserie, 1). Uppsala:SLU Tillgänglig: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/332591 [2019-04-12]
6. The value in field Medium is not shown at all:
Danny VB (2013). Dog. Tillgänglig: https://www.flickr.com/photos/parismadrid/11142920583/ [2019-03-11].
I want it like this:
Danny VB (2013). Dog. [photo]. Tillgänglig: https://www.flickr.com/photos/parismadrid/11142920583/ [2019-03-11]
9. I have no idea what I meant with my comment :/
Andersson, A.B. (2019). [italic] Report title [/italic]. (Rapportserie, 1). Uppsala:SLU [italic] Tillgänglig: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/332591 [2019-04-12]. [/italic]

6. The value in field Medium (for item type artwork) is not shown at all:
Danny VB (2013). [italic] title [/italic]. Tillgänglig: https://www.flickr.com/photos/parismadrid/11142920583/ [2019-03-11].

5. you can make it into italics like this:
bla
. Also, you can edit your posts. Please don´t make serial posts. Fixed.6. artwork: changed to the CSL field medium. Maybe that works.
