Upgrade StorageDate Decided for Case item
I'm a bit confused at how I'm suppose to enter the date at the "Date Decided" space of the Case item. A "y m d" appears on the right side if I enter something like 2/15/1918 or 1918/2/15, but not if I enter 1918 2 15 or 2 15 1918. And when I tested entry of an invalid date, there's no date validation.
For the confusing part, in the web view of the item (https://www.zotero.org/groups/law_school_survivor_project/items/30741275), I see two dates one 1918-02-15 and another 2/15/1918 (if I use the former entry above) and 1918/2/15 (if I use the latter). Apparently, both generate correct Chicago bibliography reference recognizing 1918 as the year.
So first, what is the proper date format recognized in the date field? And second, why is there an extra date in the web view?
By the way, I would prefer to enter dates in mm/dd/yyyy format. Will this affect the bibliography I created with Zotero?
