CSL style with DOI hyperlinks

Hello, I am trying to set up a CSL style where each bibliography item is an hyperlink to its DOI. Would be much more convenient than actually printing the DOI. Is that even possible? Thanks for your help. Martin
  • No, CSL can't produce hyperlinked text.
I think the ZotPress Wordpress plugin allows something along these lines (on Wordpress pages, of course) as would other tools that apply some styling on citations, but CSL itself can't.
  • Thank you for your quick answer.
  • That's strange. I've built a style that creates a link to DOIs, adding the "http:doi.org/", and it produces plain text when I use the libreoffice plugin to insert a citation (I have to manually add the link, or press space after the string so the word processor recognizes it is a link). But when I create bibliography from an item in Zotero and paste it in the libreoffice writer the doi code (not the whole http link, just the DOI code itself) comes as a link to be resolved against https://doi.org (not http:). Does anyone knows what is happening?
  • It’s not possible to make live hyperlinks in Rich Text (which is what Zotero can insert into Word Fields or LibreOffice ReferenceMarks). When Zotero generates the references as HTML (when you drag them), it can make the links live. You can make the links live in LibreOffice after you Unlink Citations by selecting the bibliography and running the AutoFormat function.
