bachelors theses?
We would like to track bachelors, masters, and doctoral theses under the same main entry-type (thesis) using type to distinguish among them.
When we export to BibTex (as we need to for National Science Foundation project reports)
--entries with doctoral or PhD export as phdthesis,
--those with masters export as mastersthesis, and
--those with bachelor, bachelors, undergraduate, and honors all export as phdthesis.
Can Zotero recognize bachelors theses if I use some other word? Or, alternatively, is there a way to force it to keep simply "thesis" as the type. We can disambiguate if we need to, but the current system introduces erroneous information.
Thanks. It is an awesome program and does so much more than most others!
Cheers, Marty

I think the current behavior which defaults to phdthesis for everything other than MAs) makes sense and am disinclined to change it globally as I don't believe thesis or bachelorthesis are valid types in standard bibtex.
But changing this in local custom version is pretty straightforward. (Your local BibTeX.js file is in the translators directory in the zotero data directory)
