creating metadata

I have a pdf file that does not have metadata, how do I create it?

    right-click --> Create parent item, then fill that out manually (if Zotero doesn't do this automatically, it's not able to find metadata for the file online)

    i use zotero in spanish, and i dont have this option

    What are the next 3 options under "Generate Report" (or whatever that is in Spanish)?

    i think i did it. the option is "Crear un elemento contenedor" , in English it's more or less like this: "create container element"

    yes, that'd be it. Seems like a good translation to me -- I don't think the child/parent metaphor is used in Spanish for item hierarchies.
