Updated to Zotero 5.0.60, won't start

I have been trying to update Zotero 4.0.x version to Zotero 5.0.x version. In Zotero 4.0.x, I am not being able to sync. While updating to Zotero 5.0.x, it won't start. The error message is related to "XPCOM".

I have uninstall and reinstall the Zotero many times but no luck. Also updated Firefox. Restarted my laptop but no luck.

  • What's the exact message? "Couldn't load XPCOM"? This is almost always solved just by uninstalling Zotero completely and reinstalling it from the download page. You provided a Report ID from Zotero 4, which suggests that you haven't actually uninstalled it.

    Your data won't be affected by uninstalling the program.
