i need a suitable journal style for this refernences. i think it is a combination between numerical and alphabitically

citation into text
[1-4]

refernces list style

3. Gehring, W. (1994) A history of the homeobox. In Guidebook to the Homeobox Genes (Duboule, D., ed.). pp. 1–10, Oxford University Press, Oxford.
  • That would be called a numerical style with the bibliographic sorting set by appearance, rather than alphabetical.

    Which journal is this for?
  • iubmb life journal
  • Hi,

    1. You can edit a post by hovering your mouse over a post, then clicking on the edit wheel that appears on the right hand side.
    2. Please follow this guide for requesting a new style. Please don't make a new thread and follow it exactly and don't forget anything. Also, Wiley journals very often don't update their guidelines, so go by actual pdf files of publications. From that I can see that the in-text citations need normal brackets, not square brackets, like you outlined.

You're not the only one that has requested a style (see here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zc3Sl4JU7Ltu0Q55-OB0QYCJbYiguVXwpc_BzBLLZcA/edit#gid=128551622) and being pushy and not understanding about it will make me less likely to do it. We're all volunteers here, doing this in our free time.
If it's so urgent I can offer you to do it against some payment though.
  • Hi , why you are so angry. Iam really a new user for this software. I don't know about the rules and waiting list for style request. I thought that it is too easy for you to do the new style in a short time. Actually, i didn't know that you are voulenteer for this work. All my problem that i wanted to submitte a paper to this journal and i didn't find the suitable style. Thanks for your time
