citation style incorrect?

I believe the Tobacco Control citation style is not correct. How do I change the style to ensure it meets the criteria?

You can edit the style (see this https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step) and the submit a fix to the repository: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md

If that all sounds to complicated, you can point out the differences here (in the style of currently vs correct) and then we can have a look at fixing it.

It uses super script. (not brackets)
Last name First and Middle Initials
Three authors then et al.
Journal is italic. Volume is bolded.
doi (if available)

BMJ in their author instructions says to use brackets, not superscript, in submission. Everything else looks correct to me and as you specify.

BMJ Group asks for brackets in submitted manuscripts and converts the citations to superscript during the process of making the final conversion to publication form. BMJ Group will return manuscripts with superscripted citation numbers to the author for revision -- unread.
