stops editing fields, JS error "fieldMode cannot be 1"

After creating basic metadata from this page https://www.census.gov/library/working-papers/2006/adrm/rrs2006-02.html, I changed the type to Report, switched author to "first last" and wanted to remove "US Census Bureau" and put the real author.

Zotero could not edit any more fields, and there's a JS error in the log. I've reinstalled Zotero fresh about a week ago.

I'm not able to reproduce this. Can you? If so, can you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for it?

What do you mean by this? When I save that page, it's entered in two-field mode (appearing as "Bureau", "US Census"). Do you mean that you're switching to one-field mode? You shouldn't get an error either way, but if you were entering an individual as the author, you would normally leave it in two-field mode.

Yes, I mean on-field mode. Tried to move US Census to Publisher and enter the person to Author.
Can't repro now. Some fluke...
