Update snapshot with new version, preserving children, tags

Would it be possible to add a the ability to replace a web snapshot with a new version, preserving tags, child-items, relations? This would be useful to update pages without having to recreate all the Zotero associations. It would also allow a simple form of richtext notetaking (using an external HTML editor or a plaintext-markup filter). This is a short version of a previous post which was perhaps a little too long to attract any actual readers. :)
