Displaying full-text in-paper results
Hello,
How cool would it be if Zotero could show you the matches with PDFs (resulting from a full-text search in Zotero). I.e., rather than just the matching files, it would show you where matches occur (in PDFs).
Is there any appetite for this? Given that zotero already extracts the text of the articles, this would just be a UI question I suppose?
P.S. I noticed that the .zotero-ft-cache doesn't have page numbers (as it were). That's a bit of a shame, as it means that one cannot just attribute a page to a citation. What's the extraction tool?

bwiernikedited December 30, 2018There are technical limitations to the current platform Zotero is built on that prevent this, but my understanding is that better search results display is planned as part of a larger UI overhaul when Zotero moves to a new platform in the near future.
