Editing Citation to put text in middle (not prefix or suffix)?

When one is citing more than one reference in a particular citation, Is there a way to edit the citation in Word 2008 to put text between the two cited items, as opposed to just using the prefix or suffix option in zotero's edit citation window? THanks.
  • Am not exactly sure what you're wanting, but generally, if you feel that need, you should be inserting two separate citations. If you're using a footnote style, create a footnote, then insert the citations there.
  • I think I understand.
You want something like (cf. eamoone 1999, for a recent overview cf. also bdarcus 2009)
That works without problem. The prefix and the suffix in the multiple citation windows are for each individual citation. So if you have several citations included in the right column, what you put in the prefix field only applies to the one you have currently highlighted.
