Connector Not Recognizing Item Types

I am affiliated with two different universities. When I log into institution one's proxy, an article is recognized as a webpage. When I view the same article via the institution two's proxy, it captures it as an article. Why might this be?

Can you provide an example of the URL that's showing as a webpage, exactly as you see it? (You can x out the institution name if you prefer.)

Yeah, so the first proxy is using the older port-based EZproxy method, which may not work as well in Zotero. We have an open ticket to fix that, but we don't have access to a port-based proxy to test it. As noted there, though, there's some indication that this could just work.

If you go to the Proxy pane of the Zotero Connector preferences, do you see any proxies that include proxy.library.upenn.edu, with or without the port number?

You shouldn't have to do this manually, but as a test, if you create a proxy for proxy.library.upenn.edu:2426/%p and add www.cambridge.org as a host, does the above URL work?

Zotero cannot offer automatic port based proxy recognition and it doesn't know it should use a specific translator for a website with wrong url unless it has a proxy rule for it. Thus, you'll have to add manual proxy entries for any resource that you access via the port based proxy if you want to save it with Zotero.
