Endnote vs. Zotero

I've uploaded my documents to both programs. Endnote allows me to view my attached files in the sidebar, but in Zotero, my files open up in a separate window in Acrobat. I never used Zotero before. Am I doing something wrong? I prefer Endnote's accessibility to view my files within the same program, without having to look elsewhere.

Thank you dstillman. I downloaded the endnote 30 trial but it appears to do what I want it to do.

If you do want to use Zotero, you can view the PDFs without leaving the app by installing the QuickLook plugin:
