What is the point of IEEE Xplore Abstract Records?

As the title says, what's the point? ACM DL connector, for example, saves only the PDF. IEEE Xplore connector saves the PDF and this snapshot that is often bigger than the PDF itself, cluttering my store without any use. Is there an option for downloading only the PDF? I already disabled the automatic snapshot feature, but it didn't help.

    Someone else may be able to provide a better solution and an updated translator. However, the IEEE website organization and their associated / embedded metadata is undergoing changes and more changes.

    I solve this problem by pasting the items' doi number(s) into the Magic Wand tool and after getting the metadata into Zotero I copy and paste the abstract into my Zotero record.
