updating bibliographic information

Hi folks, I have several papers in my database with incomplete bibliographic information.
Possibly some information was extracted upon import but some things are missing. Is it possible to automatically attempt to update the information? Based on the information already in the database Zotero would find the paper in some database and complete the missing pieces?

If an item has an identifier (e.g., DOI or ISBN), you can paste that into Add Item by Identifier to retrieve a new item, select both items, right-click, and choose Merge Items.

We're working on a feature to update an existing item without creating a new item, and that should be available in an upcoming version.
