Issues obtaining metadata in ProQuest

Hi All,

I am attempting to export a large number of citations from Proquest utilizing Zotero. Unfortunately attempts to do so are resulting in the following error message:

"An error occurred saving with ProQuest. Attempting to save using Embedded Metadata instead".

I have tried utilizing both chrome and firefox with their respective plugins, exporting different numbers of citations, and have also attempted utilizing various computers on my institution's network. I have also played with options such as turning off the exporting of PDF files. None of these attempted fixes have proved fruitful.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I might work around the error I am receiving?

    If it works for individual items after waiting a period of time, you're likely just being rate-limited by ProQuest.

    For large imports from Proquest, you should check the items you want in the search results (using the Proquest check boxes, not the Zotero button), then click the Export button (on the Proquest page) in the upper right corner and download as BibTeX or RIS, then import this file into Zotero. This will prevent Proquest from locking you out.
