Problem with zotero.org SSL certificate uisng ubuntu 18.04 and firefox

edited October 14, 2018
After upgrade from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 I can not access zotero.org page. Each time I get an error in the Firefox browser:

www.zotero.org uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for *.api.mandae.com.br.
Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

I already tried to reinstall certificates, removed certX.db files in Firefox profile folder.
  • Assuming that domain doesn't mean anything to you (a proxy server, etc.), this could happen if you're behind a DNS resolver — either on your own computer or at your ISP — that isn't properly obeying the TTL (Time to Live) of DNS responses. The above domain is hosted in the same Amazon cloud region as Zotero's servers, and various Amazon services use very short DNS TTLs. So if your DNS resolver is caching entries longer than it should, you could make a request for www.zotero.org and get back an IP address that's now pointing to another web service on AWS. The SSL system is correctly protecting you from that.
  • Thanks for your answer. I have restarted my router and the problem is not occurring anymore. I use router which is behind the router of my ISP provider but up to know I never experienced such problems.
