Indexing Word Files

PDF indexing is a great feature. I would like to ask if there a way to index also word files?

There is not currently a way to index Word files, as open source tools for indexing non-PDF file formats have only recently become available. While it is possible, I don't believe anyone at the Zotero team is currently working on it, though I suspect pull requests from community members who program this functionality into Zotero would be welcome.
