Zotero to Excel (in order to filter notes by tag)

I'd like to export my library to excel so that I can filter my notes according to the tags I have assigned. Each Tag represents a section or sub section for an essay.
I just can't work it out despite reading countless threads in the forum.

Is what I want to do possible?

    Export to CSV, which Excel can open.

    Note that it might also be easier to use Advanced Search (the magnifying glass) to search for notes with specific tags.
