Formatting reference list after writing the manuscript

I finished writing an article in the field of medicine without using any reference manager. When I tried to submit it to the target journal, they asked me to arrange the reference list in the AMA citation style (references must get organized in the order they appear in the text).

I googled it but I could not find any answer on how I should do it. It is my first time using Zotero or any reference manager. I would appreciate it if anyone could assist me in this issue.

P.S: I use Zotero for Mac

If you didn't use ZOtero for the original references, you will need to re-insert them from scratch, I'm afraid. Zotero cannot convert manually inserted citations, only those you used Zotero for.

I mean how should I do what you explained for the example below?

You'll want to get a general sense of how Zotero works. The quick start guide is a good place to start: https://www.zotero.org/support/quick_start_guide

If you prefer videos, there are a good number on YouTube, but make sure you pick something fairly recent (~last 6 months) as many things have changed over the last year.
