Zotero extension notifying it is already stored

I am using FireFox with the Zotero extension. From time to time I run into an article and I add it to my library, when I already had it. Could it be possible that the extension notifies me if I have already added that reference?

There's an open ticket for this, so this will likely happen in the future, yes, though no ETA when.
