Zotero Libreoffice integration: the toolbar buttons are unresponsive

On Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 64 bits, with:
- Zotero 5.0.54-ubuntu1 (cosmic) from http://ppa.launchpad.net/smathot/cogscinl/ubuntu
- LibreOffice 6.1.1.1 (Build ID: 1:6.1.1~rc1-2~bpo9+1)
- JRE 1.8.0_181 activated
- Zotero LibreOffice Integration 5.0.14

The toolbar buttons of the Libreoffice extension has no effect. There is no error message, nor in Libreoffice, nor in Zotero.

I tried the different steps proposed in the documentation. I have installed the extension the 3 different manners explained (automatic from Zotero preferences, manually from Zotero preferences, manually from Libreoffice). I have reinstalled LibreOffice and Zotero several times, each time I removed the profiles folders created... I tried the JRE 1.7.0_121. I tried the "experimental functions" on both JRE...

I have launched Zotero and Libreoffice from the console, also with the -ZoteroDebug option.
When I click the buttons of the toolbar, Zotero has no reaction and LibreOffice indicates:
"ZoteroOpenOfficeIntegration: Service initialized
ZoteroOpenOfficeIntegration: Executing setDocPrefs
ZoteroOpenOfficeIntegration: Service initialized
ZoteroOpenOfficeIntegration: Executing addEditCitation
ZoteroOpenOfficeIntegration: Service initialized
ZoteroOpenOfficeIntegration: Executing addEditBibliography"
but nothing happens.
