Snapshots still added to imported items despite preference

Although the option to automatically take snapshots when creating items from web pages is turned off in my Zotero Preferences, most items I import nonetheless have a snapshot included. How can I disable this behaviour? Am using Zotero standalone 5.0.55 with Chrome (latest ver.), Win10.

Can you provide an example URL where you're seeing this?

When you save, does the connector say it's saving to a collection in Zotero, or does it say it's saving to zotero.org?
