Failed to sync files on Ubuntu (report ID: 873970643)

Hello I am a Taiwan user in Ubuntu, actually I am a beginner in Ubuntu
I have a problem never on my last installation in Ubuntu.

I re-installed Ubuntu yesterday, so I re-installed Zotero with

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:smathot/cogscinl
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install zotero-standalone

however I failed to re-sync files from online database to Zotero's local under my home directory, like

[JavaScript Error: "Error for operation 'open' for /home/fattabby/Zotero/storage/24MCNUNZ/The Nature of the Firm.pdf: Unix error 13 during operation open on file /home/fattabby/Zotero/storage/24MCNUNZ/The Nature of the Firm.pdf (拒絕不符權限的操作)" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/storage/storageLocal.js" line: 412}]
.....

but this problem seem to temporarily solved when I launch Zotero with
"sudo zotero"
in my terminator.

However, I never have this problem before my re-installation, even in ordinary launch of Zotero and same way of installations, is there any problem or what should I do next?

Thanks.

(Please see Zotero report ID: 873970643 for detail)
  • I found a new way which may work, when I check the Zotero directory under my home directory

    /home/fattabby/Zotero
    (fattabby is my username)

I found the "storage" and "styles" were locked
and I deleted it then make Zotero to re synchronized again, then the problem seems fixed.

Why the database was lock, maybe it is because before my installation method on my article, I followed the homepage instruction download this file

    https://www.zotero.org/download/client/dl?channel=release&platform=linux-x86_64&version=5.0.55

and launched the execution file of Zotero, so "this" Zotero has already generated the folder locked and restricted for other application to use it,

maybe it is the main reason why my "later" failed to reach this file without administator's mode

I will keep track of this issue on my computer, even though it seems fixed by my own.

    Thanks
