Zotero citations not working properly

When I use Zotero to do my text citations on Word the references do not (re)organise themselves automatically. For example, using Chicaco Author-date I get something like (Myers 1993; Rigaud et al. 2018; Myers 2005, 2002). Why is this happening?

    The Chicago Manual does not specify that references should appear in any specific order within a citation, so Zotero shows them in the order you enter them. You can rearrange them by dragging the blue citation bubbles within the Add Citation window.
