Bibliography won't add citations

I am just finalising my PhD Thesis and need to add Bibliography but nothing seems to happen when I select Add Bibliography - have turned off updated bibliography a while ago as too many references slowing it down - but now I have nothing...!!

    Which citation style? How long have you let this run in your long document? Might take some (significant) time.

    Thanks Adam - yes took forever - didn't think it was doing anything but it slowly all happened....! I think Zotero need some icon to show that its actually doing something when this happens!
