Upgrade StorageImpossible to install libreoffice (v. 6.0.5.2) plugin on linux (Zotero 5.0.53)

After the last update of libreoffice (6.0.5.2) my plugin bar is no longer available, and when I try to install the plugin (manually) I reach this pop-up message:
(com.sun.star.uno.RuntimeException) { { Message = "com.sun.star.deployment.DeploymentException: Document is empty\X000aLine: 1\X000aColumn: 1", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @0 } }
1) Regarding Java (it is updated):
~$ sudo apt-get install default-jre
[sudo] password for USER:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
default-jre is already the newest version (2:1.8-56ubuntu2).
2) Use a Java runtie environment
CHECKED!
(Oracle Corporation 1.8.0_171)
Please, anyone could suggest anything to solve this problem.
