Can I save quotes in Zotero for later?

Hi everyone, during my research I'd like to save possible useful quotes, is it possible to do so directly in Zotero, and if so, where can I find it.

    Use the Zotfile plugin. Highlight the quotes in the PDF, save the file, then right click on it and choose “Extract annotations”

    Can you elaborate on this? I am not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong, but this is exactly what I want to be able to do. thanks!
