Please remind me access without edit

I am sorry to ask but could someone remind me as I have looked in the Documentation and cannot find this.
I want people to be able to access to my Group library (it's already publicly readable) here. But I want them to be able to download it to the client, synch it, but NOT edit my content.
I assume they can copy entries to their own Library and edit from there.
How please?

    I found my Group settings which I did years ago and that page is clearer than the documentation - the documentation only mentions owners and admins. It didn't tell me what ordinary Members can do or not explicitly.

    My Group is set to 'Library Editing' = Only group admins
    so that means ordinary members cannot edit - phew!

    To use the desktop Client to download + synch with my group, someone has to be a Group Member?
    Group Type = Open so my student can join on their own? It would be nice if I can tell them what to do.

    Which page of the documentation were you looking at? This one seems pretty clear to me: https://www.zotero.org/support/groups#library_settings

    Could you elaborate on what you found confusing, and I can try to clarify?
