Hello,

Zotero is not longer syncing as I have reached my storage limit. This has come as a surprise as my colleagues have been using Zotero for much longer than I have (with more files) and have never encountered this problem. Can anyone advice?

  • Note that there is a difference between syncing your item data (titles, authors, notes, etc.) and syncing attachment files (PDFs, etc.). The former is always free and unlimited. For the latter, you get 300mb for free. If you exceed your quota, new files will stop syncing, but your item data will continue to sync.

    If you need to sync more files, you can upgrade to a larger Zotero storage plan or use a WebDAV-enabled cloud service. See here:

    If you don’t want to sync files, you can disable file syncing in the Sync pane of Zotero preferences.
