connector broken and fixed
The zotero button was randomly not working (pressing did nothing) for a while now. Only a reboot would fix it. I'm running linux (Fedora 28) and firefox, and latest zotero.
The connection http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping did not work.
Netstat told me that a different program was using this port!
tcp 6 0 localhost:23119 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 11149/evince
Evince is the gnome pdf viewer. Closing evince and restarting zotero fixed the problem.
Seems like how ports are assigned in tcp is poorly designed if this problem can happen.
