1.x databases on different PCs; change to 2.x, then sync--> merge?

Not clear what happens after changing to 2.x on two different PCs.

Keep the databases separate?
Merge them by hand first?
Or can both be sync'ed -- would they automagically merge?
(I have no reason to think it works that way; asking before trying to see what's the simplest method to put the files together.)

I searched and didn't find this answered. Pointer welcome if it's been answered.
  • If you have more or less the same 1.0 library on each, you'd want to merge any small differences manually using Zotero RDF export/import, delete one side, and then sync from the other, as the sync process would otherwise create duplicates in each library.

If you have different libraries on each side, you should be able to just sync each and they'll be automatically merged.

Either way, you'd of course want to back up both data directories before doing anything.
