Style error: Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology

1) According to BES website the mention "https://doi.org/" should preceed the doi and not simply "doi: "
2) To use et al. in the bibliography, the minimum number of authors should be 10 and not 5 as specified in the springer-basic-author-date.csl

Thanks!
  • @adamsmith
    Independent style for this?
I've double checked the Springer guidelines where it is indeed just doi:.
  • The independent style from the current BES style is http://www.zotero.org/styles/springer-basic-author-date.
  • Yes, damnation understands the issue. He is asking adamsmith what the preferred course of action is for this publisher.
  • Ah ok, I understand now! Thanks!
  • @adamsmith
When you get a chance, let me know how to proceed with this one. :)
  • @zuphilip do you still have a contact at Springer? I'd prefer to just switch all Springer styles to the proper DOI format, but obviously only if that works for them.
  • Yes, I can ask someone within Springer about this. Can you give me some more context? It is about the display of DOIs which currently are doi: in the guidelines, but we (or rather Crossref, Datacite et al.) suggest to display them rather as https://doi.org/. Does this only affect the Basic Springer Style or potentially also the other ones? Anything else?

    Exactly this, yes.
Does this only affect the Basic Springer Style or potentially also the other ones?
The example here is for basic springer, but it'd be ideal to just switch all the generic Springer styles.

    Thanks!
